Dedicated in memory
of Jim
Collins
Chart
Notes: After a month at #1, the Beatles
close the incredible year that was Beatlemania
by falling a notch to #2 at WPGC with 'I Feel Fine'.
By
year's end, the Fab Four
have placed an unprecedented 21 different songs in the Top
Ten at WPGC with 'I Want To Hold Your Hand', 'She Loves
You', ,'Please Please Me', 'All My Lovin', 'Till There Was You',
'Twist And Shout', 'Can't Buy Me Love', 'Do You Want To Know A
Secret', 'Love Me Do', 'Roll Over Beethoven', 'P.S. I Love You',
'A Hard Day's Night', 'Tell Me Why', 'And I Love Her', 'Matchbox',
'Things We Said Today', 'Anytime At All', 'I'll Be Back', 'I'm
A Loser', 'Kansas City', and 'I Feel Fine'. All told,
the Beatles
have at least one song in the WPGC Top Ten for 41 weeks
of the year!
Elsewhere
around the DC dial, 'I Feel Fine' stays
at #1 for the third consecutive week at WEAM,
spends a fifth consecutive week at #1 at WAVA,
remains at #1 for a second consecutive week at WINX,
spends a fourth consecutive week at #1 at WWDC and stays #4 at
WHMC.
