Dedicated in memory of Jim Collins

In an era when the station's Air Personalities were every bit as important as the music itself (if not moreso), the station often attempted to pass off completely different sounding jocks as if no change had been made at all when a given performer left.  The sometimes comical results are recounted by some of those involved under miscellaneous audio below.

Harv Moore remembers:

I went to 'PGC in March of '63.  There had been a 'Gentleman Jim' there just prior to my going there, but I don't know his name. Bob Howard (GM) was big on nicknames...Big Ol' Fat Ol' Dino...Loveable Jerry G....Tiger Bob Raleigh....Pee Wee Reese...I always said he hired me because of my nickname - in Frankfort I was using Harv Moore "The Boy Next Door". 'Gentleman Jim' #2  was Walter Rubin.  'nother Dean Griffith was Larry Jarvis....I worked with him in Frankfort...he was at PGC a short time.  Another Bob Raleigh was Paul Carmel.

Good Guy Todd Reynolds / Ed Kowalski / Ed McNeil writes:

There was a "Gentleman Jim" Hanlon, on 'PGC briefly in '64 when the station first expanded its FM broadcasts beyond AM sign-off. He didn't last long, and was replaced by Marv Brooks.   My first visit to 'PGC was in the summer of '65 between my HS graduation and starting my freshman year at AU. I went to the Parkway Building to visit Walt Rubin one Sunday evening when he was doing the 6p-Mid shift. Bob Peyton became another of those 'PGC house names by the time Bob Allen crossed the river from WEAM.
