Chris was the Bookkeeping Supervisor in the '70's - '90's.
She worked at WPGC for 30 years and passed away on 10/15/04 of lung cancer.

What I remember most is the times I spent with Chris Fisher and Sheila Chandler. Chris was always telling us stories about Elvis as she was such a fan of his and Sheila made me laugh 8 hours a day. Chris must have wondered about us because we were always giggling.

Chris was such a sweet and gentle lady...no one ever spoke a bad word about her. She was everyone's favorite person...and that crosses over several generations of WPGC employees. She will be missed.

Years ago on her birthday, while I was with WPGC, I called her and faked an Elvis phone call. She flipped, never knew it was me. She was in heaven for days...Great memory.

Chris, what a sweetheart she was. If she wasn't the biggest Elvis fan alive, I just don't know who was! She was a rock. Long before consolidation, 'PGC defined the term “lean” and Chris was part of the proof that it doesn’t take a lot of people to make a great station-it just takes the right people.
