'Bob Peyton' was a house name of the station.  The fourth guy to use the name was Dave MacKay and it's he who is heard on this aircheck at the onset of Summer 1969.

In an era in which stations actually played listeners' requests, the WPGC 'Request-O-Matic' line was in continual use, alternating between fulfilling requests for DC, Maryland & Virginia. Both morning man, Harv Moore and News Guy, Bob Raleigh (Bill Miller) can be heard on these stagers.

Speaking of news, listen for the story of a proposed rail line to Dulles Airport, over 30 years ahead of its time!

Harv's voice is also heard on the spot for Tab soda. And check out an agency commercial for the quickly forgotten film, 'Winning', starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

Live promos done by Bob include mentions of the WPGC 'Beachcomber', traveling to poolsides around the Nation's Capitol awarding station prizes, and for 'GO' Magazine, a nationally syndicated teen-oriented music rag with a local insert for a station in each market. In Metro DC, these were available at the Hecht Company department stores and all Burger Chef locations (both hotbeds in the music industry no doubt!).

Jingles in use came from PAMS' package, 'Grid'. Primary station positioners included 'WPGC #1' and 'Good Guys Radio'.
